Walk Your Plans San Francisco Owner's Note
For more than 30 years, I have worked as a general contractor building custom homes and commercial projects thougout the Bay Area. During my career, I’ve seen how even well-designed plans can lead to costly misunderstandings once construction begins. Change orders, delays, shut-downs and budget crushing overruns are rarely the result of poor intentions or lack of effort—they almost always stem from one simple issue: people cannot truly understand space, scale, and flow from drawings on paper and a screen alone.

Even when clients request changes themselves, those changes still create frustration. Projects take longer, costs increase, and relationships can become strained. As the builder or desginer, you often absorb the resentment despite doing everything the client asked for. Over time, it became clear to me that this problem wasn’t about better drawings or more meetings—it was about giving people a way to truly experience their plans during the design phase and before breaking ground.

That realization is what led me to open Walk Your Plans San Francisco.
Walk Your Plans is the solution I wish I had throughout my career. It allows clients, designers, builders, developers and planners to step into their plans at full scale and make decisions with clarity before construction or execution begins. When people can physically experience a space, issues surface immediately—circulation, proportions, sightlines, and flow all become obvious in a way that small drawings simply can’t convey and we can make on the spot changes.

By shifting critical decisions to the earliest stage of a project, Walk Your Plans dramatically reduces change orders, saves time and money, and creates a more collaborative, confident process for everyone involved. From my perspective as a builder, it transforms one of the most stressful parts of a project into one of the most effective. From a client’s perspective, it replaces uncertainty with understanding and confidence.

Walk Your Plans – San Francisco is built on real-world experience, not theory. It exists to help people see clearly, decide confidently, and move forward knowing they’ve made the right choices—before the cost of change becomes expensive or you are left unhappy with your final results.
