I can't say enough good things about this incredible technology. Having had the opportunity to tour WYP back in August with my Compass Brokerage, I knew that when my daughter and son-in-law finalized their plans on their new build it would be the perfect opportunity to try this out in a real life situation. And we all felt it was incredibly beneficial. Being able to literally walk through their home and enhance the experience with prop walls to help delineate the height and space around you in each room was incredible. Tweaking doors opening in or out or pocket them. The flow of the entry stairwell. Determining counter areas and window seats. And on and on. All the while including their designer via virtual white board display where any considered changes were noted and marked for next steps. I would highly recommend Walk Your Plans for any custom build prior to breaking ground. Thank you Mark Brown for you hospitality and your patience through this highly interactive process.
Did a demo walkthrough and it was so important to see the value proposition of this offering in person - walking floorplans, tweaking spaces for fitting the right amount and size of furniture and even envisioning the smaller details like is there enough space for my dishwasher to open across from the kitchen island is valuable. Would highly recommend for your next build, whether spec homes or custom and even for homeowners engaging in remodels.
I had an awesome experience with Walk My Plans Nashville. The owners, James and Amanda Oaks, were fantastic from start to finish. Scheduling was easy, and the whole process was smooth all the way through. They did a great job keeping my clients informed and engaged, and the facility was exceptionally clean. James and Amanda are very knowledgeable and clearly know what they’re doing. The highlight of the meeting was that the homeowners were able to make a few changes right then and there that would have cost us thousands of dollars in the field. Catching those items early made the investment well worth it.
We would highly recommend walk your plans. It provides an opportunity to see your plans in full scale. It is exciting and an enjoyable experience. It let us see changes that would have been expensive during the build.
What a phenomenal facility! We're custom building a home and having the opportunity to see our floorplan in full scale was incredibly helpful. We found a ton of tweaks, some big and some small, that making a change now will save us headaches and thousands of dollars later. We loved the entire experience; Amanda was an impeccable host with snacks (which our boys especially appreciated), measuring tapes, and even laser pointers as well as a touch screen of the floorplans that we could take notes on, all ready for us so that we could fully maximize the time spent walking the plans. I would highly recommend this to ANYONE who is building a home - money well spent!
Wonderful experience! There is absolutely no better way to get exactly what you want out of your building plans than to see them projected onto the floor. Highly recommend for anyone building, remodeling, or simply choosing from a set of builder options. This service is worth every penny and will save you time and money on change orders down the road. Absolutely amazing experience! This was far more helpful than we could have anticipated. My husband and I felt set on our initial plans that we had finalized with our architect, but being at WYP and visualizing the space to scale was truly invaluable. We’re so glad we did this before submitting our plans to the city. We definitely didn’t expect to make as many changes as we did, but being able to adjust the plans in real time helped us avoid multiple iterations—something we had already gone through before WYP. It saved both us and our architect so much time and money. We spent about two hours at the space, and it flew by! My husband and I are designing and building a home and while he can visualize a 2D floor plan, my brain just doesn't work like that.
